Fundraising campaign to support protestors of government level corruption in Hungary

Fundraising campaign to support protestors of government level corruption in Hungary

On the 11th of July 2012 LMP activists and MP-s occupied the entrance of the central plant of the Hungarian construction giant, Közgép. Közgép belongs to Lajos Simicska, former college roommate and main confidant of Prime Minister Orbán. He is considered the most powerful Hungarian oligarch, who is able to convert his wealth into political influence, and vise-versa, use his considerable political weight, to gain full control over public tenders. Közgép has won virtually every single public tender it entered, and Simicska now rules the construction industry, without his consent and involvement no one has a chance to gain any state funding.

Show Your solidarity. Support the protestors!

Gergely Karácsony, parliamentary representative, introduced LMP’s (Politics can Be Different’s) proposal for the Hungarian election system.
