An Era is Over: Time for New Resistance!

LMP regards the autumn session of the Hungarian Parliament to be the last one of the democratic period in the country’s history for the time being — therefore the party declared to start a “New Resistance”.

To mark the beginning of the New Resistance, the opposition party Politics Can Be Different (LMP) called for a rally in front of the Parliament building on 23rd December — said LMP spokesperson Bernadett Szél at a press conference in Budapest. LMP considers a dictatorship to be emerging in the country, she added. This day will be a turning point, when the governing Fidesz majority plans to adopt a number of scandalous laws that will put the last nail into the coffin of democracy, Szél explained.
